Interventions

Myopia progression is caused by the continued lengthening of the eye and does not resolve on its own. It generally remains an ongoing risk to vision health due to treatment options that are not effective in all cases, or provide temporary relief.

Currently, there are common interventions for myopia being used today that have some evidence of success.¹

  • Spectacles
  • Drugs: Atropine
  • Rigid contact lens: Ortho-K
  • Peripheral defocus modifying contact lenses: Soft contact lens (SCL’s)
